Bus Trip Information

• We will be traveling to Washington via Hunt Valley Motor Coach.  Passengers will be picked up at the White Marsh Mall and the I-95/I-195 Park & Ride off of I-95.

• The cost of the round-trip bus fare is $22.00 (Includes tip for driver)

• Reservations will be accepted on a first come basis.

Agenda

• 6am: Depart White Marsh Mall (JC Penny’s)

• 6:30am: Depart I-95/I-195 Park & Ride

• 8 – 10am: POCC Forum

• 9:30am: Clinical Laboratory Expo Opens - Washington Convention Center

• 2pm: Clinical Lab Expo Closes

• 2:30pm: Leave Washington Convention Center

Payment for the trip is due by June 27,2008

• Don’t wait till the last minute, we expect seats to fill quickly!

White Marsh Mall (JC Penny’s) 

• Take I-95 to exit 67B (White Marsh Town Center).

• Turn left at the first traffic light (Honeygo Blvd).

• After passing IKEA, make a right into the mall property and keep to the right.

• Follow road around the mall until you reach the lower level J.C.Penny parking lot.

• All vehicles must park at light pole #1

Directions for I-95/I-195 Park and Ride: (near UMBC in Catonsville)

• Take I-95 to exit 47A (I-195). Take this exit and proceed west towards Catonsville.

• Pass the UMBC exit towards Route 166.

• Follow signs to Park and Ride Lot (on left).

Point-of-Care Coordinator Forum

AACC announces a special forum to address the concerns of point-of-care coordinators being held Thursday, July 31st during the AACC Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.

• New Designs of POCT, Drivers of Change 

  • Dr. Jay Jones, Geisinger Health System

  • "Point of Care Testing: An Innately "Lean" Process"
     

  • Brenda Franks, Nebraska Methodist Health System

  • “Development and Implementation of Quality Indicators for POC”

POCC Forum Registration:

• The forum takes place from 8 – 10 am

• Register by July 22nd or on site after July 26th by going to:

  • http://www.aacc.org/events/ann_meet/Pages/default.aspx.

• The cost is only $15.00 and includes breakfast and  the  POCC forum. Please register early so an accurate count for breakfast can be obtained.

Clinical Lab Expo Registration:

• Clinical Lab Expo is open from 9:30 am – 2pm

• Register by July 22nd or on site after July 26th by going to

  • http://www.aacc.org/events/ann_meet/Pages/default.aspx.

• Access to the AACC Clinical Laboratory Exposition is FREE, but you must register separately.
