POCT Coordinators, Lab Managers/ Directors, Medical Technologists, Respiratory Care Providers and Nurses involved with POCT. Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to:
  • Describe the flow of laboratory data within an eICU
  • Discuss methods to decrease medical errors at the point of care
  • Analyze the skills necessary to improve working relationships
  • Verbalize new insights into aspirin resistance

Participants are invited to attend an informal reception October 14th, 2004 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the Courtyard by Marriott  Cocoa Beach. You may wish to bring a sweater for your comfort at the Conference Please be sure to indicate on your registration form if you will be attending the Thursday night social.

Cancellations The deadline for registration will be Oct. 8th.

A block of rooms has been reserved for the nights of Oct 14 & 15 at the Courtyard by Marriott, 3435 N Atlantic Ave. Cocoa Beach, FL. Please call (321) 784-4800 by 10/1 and mention the Point of Care Conference in order to receive a special rate of $89.00.

The contact person for rooms is Maria Sheldon at the Courtyard by Marriott.  They are going to work with the Hampton on the same property to add additional rooms at the $89.00 rate.  Neither property has sustained damage, however, rooms are scarce due to housing folks who have lost or damaged homes, and emergency relief teams in the area. Maria's # is 321-784-4800  ext 605.  Make sure you mention the POCT Conference. She will do her best to help us.
