ACT History and Leadership Communication for POCCs” Highlight May 13, 2005 Meeting

Friday the 13th proved to be a lucky day for the more than 30
point-of-care coordinators who turned out for the recent Georgia POC Network meeting held at Emory Healthcare Crawford Long Hospital
in Atlanta.


Meeting organizers Diana Dittrich, St. Joseph's Hospital; Karen Jenkins, of host Emory University Hospital; Janice Albright, Southern Regional Medical Center; Carol Day, Wellstar Health System; and Mary Catherine Parker, Piedmont Hospital. Jackie Keefe tested her communications skills by trying to explain to the audience how to draw a series of geometric shapes.  Diane Dittrich, St. Joseph's Hospital and Rosemary Wills, Northside Hospital, acted out a certification issue role play between a POCC and nurse/device operator.
