The Southern California Point-of-Care Coordinators provides a forum in which POC professionals can gather to discuss ideas and look at new technologies and trends in POCT. At this meeting we will:

• Review recent Institute of Medicine recommendations regarding medical errors
• Outline current trends in POCT and its advantages and disadvantages
• Bedside blood gas testing

The Westin LAX (310-216-5858) is located at 5400 West Century Blvd., L.A., CA 90045. From the San Diego (405) FWY, exit Century Blvd. West towards the Los Angeles Airport. The entrance is one block past La Cienega on the left hand side of the Century Blvd. Parking is located adjacent to the Westin Hotel.
