Dr. Sharon Ehrmeyer
You may have heard Dr. Ehrmeyer
speak on numerous topics on Whitehat Webinars. She is a
Professor Emeritus in the department of Pathology and
Laboratory Medicine at the University of Wisconsin
School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI. Her
research and consulting interests focus on laboratory
and POCT quality issues including the impact of mandated
regulations on testing practices. Dr. Ehrmeyer has
served on The Joint Commission’s Technical Advisory
Committee and the Clinical and Laboratory Standards
Institute(formally NCCLS) Board of Directors. She
currently is a member of AACC’s Government Relations
Committee, is the Regulatory Affairs section editor for
Point of Care (the journal of near patient testing and
technology) and an ISO 15189 auditor. Dr. Ehrmeyer is

At around 1:00pm(may be earlier
depending on the meeting length) Ryan Schmidt from Alere
present a talk on molecular POCT. Ryan is the VP of
Marketing for the Infectious Disease Business Unit at
Alere Inc. where he manages a team of marketing
professionals that support the ID business in North
America. Ryan received his Bachelor’s Degree from
Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and his MBA from
Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
