Course Description:
This program will review current
recommendations to implement and maintain POC instruments
ensuring regulatory compliance. Procedures to demonstrate
system accuracy, determination of analytical measurement range,
system precision, verification of reference ranges and
calibration will be addressed. This program will also include a
workshop assisting the participants in entering correlation and
precision data into templates for statistical assessment of
instrument performance.
Learning
Objectives:
At the completion of the course, the
attendee should describe the following:
-
Methods to maintain specimen integrity
between reference analyzer and new device testing device.
-
How to determine the ranges necessary
to validate linearity for AMR testing.
-
Variables that can produce
preanalytical errors while performing precision testing.
-
Three variables that should be
considered when determining reference ranges.
-
What elements are required to be in a
laboratory POC Quality Program
This course is presented
at an INTERMEDIATE level of instruction.
4.5 contact hours will be
awarded for attendance.
